Vietnam-made AI virtual person makes first appearance and chats at VIIE 2023 exhibition

Vietnam’s first AI Digital Human was officially launched at the Vietnam International Innovation Exhibition (VIIE) 2023, with the ability to interact with customers in real time.

Held from October 28 to November 5, 2023, the Vietnam International Innovation Exhibition (VIIE 2023) and the inauguration ceremony of the National Innovation Center (NIC) Hòa Lạc campus were a series of events presided over by the Ministry of Planning and Investment, with NIC as the organizing focal point.

The program brought together a diverse range of activities: demonstrations and hands-on experiences of pioneering technology; an international technology exhibition; the Innovation Investment Fund Forum (VVS) 2023; specialized workshops; STEAM activities; and the Better Choice Awards Gala.

The centerpiece of VIIE 2023 was the technology experience space within the National Innovation Center (NIC Hòa Lạc). This is where the largest-scale innovation achievements converged, from international organizations such as SK, Meta, Google, John Cockerill, Visa, Starlink (SpaceX), and Signify, as well as leading corporations and businesses in Vietnam and the region such as Viettel, VNPT, MobiFone, Masan, and MoMo.

A range of technologies such as virtual reality, mixed reality, and IoT (Internet of Things) were applied to visualize innovation solutions across every field of a digital nation.

Notably, the interactive performance of the AI Digital Human from ADT, a pioneer in interactive technology and marketing in Vietnam, became a major draw at VIIE 2023. Specifically, the AI core was upgraded and integrated with a hyper-real Metahuman to create the only AI Digital Human in Vietnam to date. In this setup, the virtual human Hạ Vy appeared with a complete full-body design, able to decide her own expressions and chat directly in real time with participants right at the VIIE 2023 event.
