The International Innovation and Creativity Exhibition Vietnam 2023 (VIIE 2023), taking place from October 28th to November 1st, is set to make a record-breaking impact in the innovation and creativity community, with an expected attendance of over 40,000 visitors and 300 exhibition booths from major global technology conglomerates.
Organized by the Ministry of Planning and Investment, in coordination with reputable entities, VIIE 2023 and the inauguration ceremony of the National Innovation Center (NIC) in Hòa Lạc feature a series of events showcasing diverse activities: cutting-edge technology demonstrations, international technology exhibitions, the Creative Startup Investment Fund (VVS) 2023 Forum, specialized workshops, STEAM activities, and the Gala Better Choice Awards. According to Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung, VIIE 2023 proudly asserts Vietnam’s potential and position in innovation and creativity regionally and globally.
The focal point of VIIE 2023 is the technology experiential space within the National Innovation Center (NIC Hoà Lạc). Here, the most significant innovations from international organizations such as SK, Meta, Google, John Cockerill, Visa, Starlink (SpaceX), Signify, as well as leading Vietnamese and regional enterprises like Viettel, THACO, VNPT, MobiFone, and Masan converge.
Eco Valley and Inno City areas showcase technology solutions in 8 key innovation areas of Vietnam, including Smart factories, Smart cities, Hydrogen technology, Digital communication, Semiconductor technology, Healthcare technology, Environmental technology, and Cybersecurity.
Welcoming guests with a sensory experience, the Eco Valley exhibition area, valued at millions of dollars, paints a picture of Vietnam’s green future, aiming for Net Zero by 2050. SK Group, the main sponsor of the NIC Hoà Lạc project, stands out in the “green technology valley,” recreating the mangrove forests of Trà Vinh with forest restoration projects.
Meanwhile, Google presents sculptures inspired by familiar Vietnamese materials in a miniature social simulation space, accompanying Vietnam in accelerating its digital transformation and sustainable development. Masan, representing Vietnam in Eco Valley, utilizes Virtual Tour technology to guide visitors through the Pháo Mountain multi-metal mine, one of the world’s largest tungsten mines, alongside activities contributing to perfecting the circular economy model.
On the second floor of NIC Hoà Lạc, the Inno City area opens up a vision of the “Innovative city.” Here, leading Vietnamese and international businesses and organizations apply a variety of technologies such as virtual reality, mixed reality, and IoT to visualize innovative solutions in all sectors of the country.
In this regard, Visa visitors can directly experience advanced technologies such as contactless payment and IoT device payment. Solutions are deeply integrated into public transportation; shopping at home and through smart electric vehicles; and connecting online, offline, and virtual payment experiences to promote cashless economies.
Throughout the exhibition, modern technology wears a familiar “cloak,” with lively experiences warmly received by the public. Notable highlights include a multi-sensory mapping system showcasing unique sound and visual displays, as well as interactive walls conveying technological knowledge and collaborative achievements in innovation and creativity through artistic language.
Of particular note is the debut of the first Digital Human AI in Vietnam, becoming the technological centerpiece of VIIE 2023. The hyper-real metahuman possesses perfected aesthetics, with AI capabilities to express emotions and engage in real-time conversations with event participants. All of this is applied using advanced technology and state-of-the-art equipment, with ADT as the strategic advisor, companion, and comprehensive implementer.
Beyond the confines of a mere exhibition, VIIE 2023 is a continuous journey to enhance and elevate the capacity of the innovation and creativity ecosystem, contributing to solving the nation’s challenges and building a beautiful, sustainable digital future for all Vietnamese citizens.
